💡 A bit about the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Requirement Engineer to join our team, with a specific focus on writing and managing product requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to take the long-term vision defined by our Product Lead and translate it into clear, actionable, and precise product requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that these requirements are well-documented, understood by all stakeholders, and feasible for our development teams to implement.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with the Product Lead, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather and define product requirements.
- Documentation: Create detailed, clear, and concise requirement documents that serve as the blueprint for development teams.
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Develop user stories and acceptance criteria that capture the product functionality and user experience.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that everyone is aligned on the product requirements.
- Technical Feasibility: Work closely with developers to assess the technical feasibility of proposed requirements and adjust them as necessary.
- Prioritization: Assist in prioritizing features and requirements based on business value, technical complexity, and other relevant factors.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the product requirements are met by participating in the testing and validation phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Learn from previous projects and continuously refine the requirement-gathering and documentation process.
💙 Qualifications
Must Have:
- Experience: 3-5 years in Product Requirement Engineering, Product Growth Management, or a similar role in DeFi, Fintech, or Blockchain.
- DeFi Expertise: Successfully worked on the launch of at least one DeFi application.
- Blockchain Knowledge: Strong understanding of smart contracts, DeFi protocols, DEXs, and related blockchain technologies.
- Trading Insight: Experience as a trader with a deep understanding of trader needs in the DeFi space.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; able to translate complex requirements between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile: Proficient in Agile methodologies, including user story creation and backlog management.
Would Be Nice to Have:
- Data-Driven: 3+ years of experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, DataDog) to drive product decisions.
- Technical Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Start-Up Experience: Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Certifications: CSPO, CBAP, or similar certifications.
- API Knowledge: Familiarity with API integration in DeFi platforms.
